ABOUT US
We feel that
it is important that you know something about the photography team that will
be spending some of your precious time with you and capturing a moment of
your life to be treasured forever.
Your
photographer will be Ralph O'Quinn. Ralph was originally born in Ohio and
spent a lot of time in the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia. Ralph moved
to Texas in 1981, and to the Rio Grande Valley in 1984. He loves being
outdoors and is also an avid nature photographer.
Ralph has
both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed
Civil Engineer in Kentucky, Ohio and Texas. Ralph specializes in a branch
of Civil Engineering dealing with geotechnical (soils and foundations) and
construction materials. Engineers are often described as "nerdy" and "nit
picky" people and if that pertains to having the latest equipment and making
sure that things are done correctly, then Ralph fits the image. Even though
the engineer training kicks in, Ralph has a sense of humor that tends to put
clients at ease and allows them to be more relaxed during the session.
Ralph has been performing photography for over 15 years.
Ralph’s
primary assistant is Norma Doria. Norma was born and still resides in
Bayview, Texas. When you call our studio, most of you will talk to Norma
first. Norma loves serving people and is always willing to do whatever it
takes to make you comfortable and look your best for the camera. Ralph and
Norma have been working together for over 21 years.
Ralph and
Norma routinely receive compliments that they are not like other
photographers, that they are fun to have at weddings and that the
photography sessions aren’t as painful as they thought they were going to
be. We have not injured anyone while taking their photo and we don’t have a
Chiropractor’s license so we can’t charge for the all of the movements that
we put your body through during the photography session. Ralph's philosophy
is to not add stress to an already stressful situation and let people have
fun with the photography session. I know it is hard to believe, but most
people are not fond of having the photo taken.
We look
forward to capturing precious images of your family history.
